Questions to ask your agency.
How long have you been in business?
HtH Surrogacy was founded in October 2011.
What qualifications do you have to run a surrogacy agency?
HtH Surrogacy brings an incredible list of qualifications to the table. Our director is a retired midwife, past surrogate, former legal assistant in a surrogacy law firm, and is an active member of many professional organizations. She has over 20 years experience with surrogacy. She also is a sought after speaker and educator on surrogacy topics. All of our employees are intimately experienced with surrogacy or have been surrogates themselves!
How many clients do you help a year?
HtH Surrogacy serves about 60 clients a year. We always know who you are when you call. We remember your details and needs. We are available to you.
Who are Heart to Heart Surrogacy’s clients?
About half of our clients are from the United States and the other half are from Europe. Approximately half of our intended parents are same sex and the other half heterosexual. We work with HIV+ families, single intended parents, intended parents with unique circumstances, and families who choose surrogacy for a variety of social and medical reasons. Regardless of who our clients are, it is a pleasure to support you in growing your family.

Who do I talk to throughout my surrogacy?
Your care team will include our Agency Director, your Intended Parent Case Manager, and your Surrogate’s Case Manager. There is always someone available to support you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Your primary contact will be your Intended Parent Case Manager. Your Intended Parent Case Manager will know all the details of your surrogacy, will coordinate with your additional providers, and who will email you weekly updates throughout the surrogacy.
What is the current match time?
Our current and average match time is 1-3 months.
Do you screen surrogates medically and psychologically before matching them with clients?
Yes! All of our surrogates go through a thorough agency screening process that includes medical records collection and review, a psychological consultation and evaluation, and a perinatologist evaluation–all before we ever show you a surrogate’s profile.
Are the prices you quote as estimates what your clients actually pay?
It’s impossible to give a firm cost of a surrogacy journey, since there are so many different people involved. Our agency fee is straightforward, and all other expenses are clearly laid out. In general, you can expect a surrogacy journey to cost $187,000 – $210,000 for the entire surrogacy process. Please ask to see a sample budget!
Have you been sued by clients or surrogates, or involved in any other surrogacy related legal disputes? Have you ever had parentage judgments or adoptions denied or delayed?
No.
Who do you use for funds management and holding?
We will provide you with a list of reputable, third-party, independent, insured, bonded and legal escrow services so that you can interview and choose the service you are most comfortable with.
Can we use our own attorney, doctor, funds holder, etc?
We love working with new providers and welcome any provider you have a relationship with so long as they have experience with surrogacy. We also have a large established network of third party professionals that we can recommend to you.
What kind of relationship can we expect to have with our surrogate?
Every surrogacy relationship is unique. When we get to know you and your surrogate, we learn what type of relationship you want and match you based on those expectations.
