The installation and proper usage of a car seat can mean the difference between life and death for your baby or babies. 

Types of Car Seats: 

  • Learn about the different car seat types based on age/height/weight of your child here
    • IMPORTANT NOTE: Newborn car seats should always be rear-facing.

    • For International Clients:  Car seats are rated differently for safety in countries outside of the US.  You may not be able to use a carseat that meets another country’s standards in the US, and vice versa.  Please plan on purchasing a car seat while you are in the US and a separate one when you return home.

 

Installation:

  • Install Car Seat Before Baby’s Birth
  • You will not be allowed to leave the hospital without demonstrating that you have a safe car seat and that you know how to use it.
  • Be sure your car seat(s) are properly installed.

  • Have the car seat installation inspected by a professional before baby is born.

    • IMPORTANT NOTE: Buckling a baby into their car seat the right way is one of the most important safety measures you can take. Do not assume that just simply buckling equals safety.
